Location: Penn, Wolverhampton WV4

Hours of work: 5 hours per week – hours to be split over the week and weekend

Rate of pay: £14.20 per hour

Job purpose:

To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:

Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide social support to her 9-year-old son for 5 hours per week to access the local community and enjoy fun activities.

Main duties:

Social duties

• attend soft play centres
• access the local community
• visit the local park

• Specific requirements: someone with previous experience of working with children with special educational needs.

Skills, qualifications, and experience

Essential:

• driving licence
• car and appropriate insurance
• previous experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
• confidentiality
• good at building relationships

Preferred:

• good communicator
• a good listener
• ability to support people with complex support needs

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
